Cinématographie de la matière virtuelle

Starting Thursday, January 26, 2023, TOPO hosted artist Baron Lanteigne in an open residency as part of its thematic programming Fluidity. The work metamorphosed over the course of this experimental residency and was shown live in TOPO's showcase. This residency formula combined with the window exhibition gave Johann Baron-Lanteigne the opportunity to work with the support of TOPO on a system of public interaction with the work online. The possible interactions of the user will be carried out through an algorithmic robot (bot) that functions thanks to artificial intelligence, via the Discord discussion interface created by the artist.

"I am inspired by 3D creation tools designed to simulate reality. Thanks to their flexibility and imperfections, these tools are capable of broken or surreal results. They thus acquire properties of their own, which I consider as virtual matter. I create procedural systems that bring this matter to life in real time through a cross between 3D geometry, lighting and virtual camera." - Baron Lanteigne
